13 HP petrol electric 7 1/4" BO BO locomotive.
EM44 has four 500 watt permanent
magnet traction motors.
Two motors on each bogie, chain drive via a reduction gear
box to the wheels.
Late
in 2011 I was fortunate to have been given Colin Cave's
locomotive Sir Charles Court. This was a very much appreciated
gift
and many thanks to his family. The loco was plain
and blue running as a battery electric.

The EM44 loco number comes from E is Electro, M is Motive, 4 is 4 wheels on the rear bogie and 4 wheels on the front bogie
making it a BO BO arrangement..
